Camp Directors;

Coach Michael McCleary began his coaching career at St. Anthony’s High School on Long Island in 1986-87, followed by work at his alma mater — Queens College as Assistant Coach from 1987-1991. Mike moved from Queens College to SUNY Farmingdale in 1991-1995 where he served as an Assistant Coach and then Head Coach. During his career he has had teams ranked in the top 25 of the NJCAA with a career record of 69-27. He served as Assistant at Fairfield University from 1995-1998. His two post season appearances were in 1996 at the NIT and in 1997 at the NCAA.

In 1998, Coach McCleary came to Molloy as a teacher and Athletic Director. He serves as the Varsity Basketball coach. One of his greatest challenges and accomplishments was overseeing the development of a woman’s athletics program which increased the number of sports from 9 to16 and the number of teams from 16 to 44. In 2013, Michael was named as the new coach for the Boys Varsity Basketball team replacing the longtime and legendary Coach Jack Curran after serving 15 years as his assistant. In his first campaign Coach McCleary posted a 20-8 record.

Coach Brad Lyons was a 4 year varsity player at Massapequa High School in both Baseball and Football. In baseball, he was All County for 3 years, All State for 2 years and an All American. He owns a 35-1 career record as a pitcher at Manhasset which puts him in the Top 5 in wins in NYS history. Coach Lyons was the winner of the Nassau County Diamond Award winner for the Best Player in the County. Coach Lyons was a 4 year scholarship player at Maryland where he is in the Top Ten in Appearances and Saves. He was also on the ACC All Academic Team in 2002.

Coach Lyons was an assistant to Coach Jack Curran for three years before he was named as the New Varsity Baseball Coach in 2013. In his first full season at the helm Coach Lyons led the Stanners the Brooklyn/Queens Championship and the City Championship game. In 2014 Brad took his his team to the finals and followed up in 2015 with a final four finish.

Coach Jerry Albert is the Boys Varsity Baseball Coach at Belen Jesuit High School in Miami, Florida. Coach Albert along with Coach Curran created and developed the Baseball Camp over twenty years ago. He has remained a director of the camp even after moving to Miami in 1998.
